Born in Hamilton, Montana, Lamb studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and has 15 years of experience as a professional freelance illustrator. His work has been commissioned by the Smithsonian Institution, the National Football League, the White House, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and stamps for the U.S. Postal Service, as well as numerous leading motion picture studios, and national corporations. Jim is a member of the historic California Art Club, a signature member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters of America, Plein Air Washington Artists, and a signature member of the Pacific Rim Institute of Marine Artists. His varied artistic subjects have been exhibited and collected widely in the U.S. and are part of the permanent collections of the National Football League, the US Postal Service Stamp Museum in Washington DC, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin, and the Governor’s Mansion permanent fine art collection in Washington State.
